I was bless to know the perfect people to hire and record two of my songs.
I met Robert Shelton and his wife Carly Bond, through my beloved George Shelton
& Michael Brown, my aunt and uncle by adoption, long time friends of my father
They are the ones who invited me to Californie for the first time in.
This is how my journey in Oakland and the Bay Area started as well as my
Wonder Valley California adventures, places where I had the opportunity
To write insipired chapters of my story.
The last days of august, Carly, Rob and I
Spent 3 days in there home studio
In Los Angels. And I can say that
The Angels of music were there with us.
I am more then grateful for our collaboration,
For their tallent and generousity.
After sharing with them the meaning of
The songs, the vibe and sounds
I was looking for, in a whirlwind of creativity
And inspiration, they both arranged,
Played and recorded every instruments,
And I had the joy to focus on singing.
We recorded "Temps qui passe"
one of my Latest song from 2019.
It's song about friendship and the melancholie
of "Time passing".
The other song is called "Osons Causer"
"Let's dare to talk"
I wrote this one in 2016 and was eager to sing it
This coming year...
🎶 Lyrics Translation 🎶
The melancholy of time passing
All these memories that leave their marks
I remember these moments of eternity in the present
All these people I love, and who love me, even the ones with whom we failed
I remember we loved each other, if only for a moment.
When we saw each other and shared our bare hearts
We sincerely lived the moment fully ~ And forgot the passing hours.
Here and now, letting ourself be carried by the wind, the song of life
I found the photo album from our high school years
You still wearing the same hat and colorful shirts with flowers and palm trees.
It's crazy what time has passed and some things haven't changed.
You still make me laugh and dream when you tell me your stories, as on the bench of recess
Daring to talk
Let's dare to talk
About things that matter.
Let's dare to discuss the topics
That bother. Let's take the time
To dialogue to establish peace.
Let's dare to re-educate ourself
Reform our erroneous believes.
Fight our ignorance, seek deliverance from our mistaken beliefs.
So I dare to say it - I dare to tell all
That we are wrong to believe
That we are inferior or superior.
Dividing the human species dislocate Humanity into castes, into classes, into races.
But who invented these ideologies that despise life.
But who they are to decide who should die, be enslaved, and genocided
So I dare say it - Dare we say it
When we are wrong to believe ourselves or other
As below or above
Let's decolonize our minds from these mistaken beliefs that despise life.
Let's not be afraid to revolutionize our hearts
Let's not be afraid to revolutionize our hearts
Once the titles were recorded, I started to imagine videos.
Once I arrived in oakland I looked for a videographer.
I was introduced to Mogli Maureal with whom from our first meetingI knew I wanted to work with him. I was blessed that he liked my song and was inspire to work with me. I am so grateful for the time, the skill, the love and passion he and his partener Marica Petrey put into my video.
Thanks to my beautiful friends and their Wonderful Kreutter Family Grand Studio
Where I not only had the chance to shoot my video there but
I also had the fortune to live there for three beautiful months
Oakland Always Has A Homey Home For Me 🙏🏽
I always loved the Grand Lake Theater.
Once upon a time I dreamt of performing there...
Who knows... maybe one day I will make this one manifest 🥳
Limah layouni and I have been friends from the first time we met in 2015 when I moved in
The same street as her in Oakland. Spending time together, reminds me my oldest friendships.
She was the perfect friend to play the intro scene. I had dream we could have done an Outro
By the bench in front of the Grand lake theater....
The Buddha says that friendship is all the way to enlightenment. This is how much I want a beautiful friendships in my life. I have met "friendship" in many forms. Sometimes it clicks in an instant. Others take time, tame carefully themself,
build with time. Some last a lifetime, others a day, the time of a shared space of hours spent talking. Sometimes friendship is confused, ambiguous,
in love, toxic, gets lost. Some are experienced
from afar, Sometimes are found.
Others, after years of silence, of distances,
are instantly reborn. And then others die,
and who knows ... Friendship: an infinitely
deep adventure, where I probe my heart,
the most precious of all treasures.
